Define Secondary Trauma
Secondary trauma occurs to a person who is trying to help a person who has been traumatized in the first place with the actual experience and the helper is feeling the stress of that experience himself while listening or trying to alleviate the sufferer.

The professional counsellor is exposed indirectly to trauma through hearing about the first hand trauma experience of the clients. This is referred to as Secondary Traumatic Stress.
